Oldest Living Thing On Earth
Can you guess what the oldest living thing in the world is? It’s a shrub! This shrub is called the creosote bush and grows in the Mojave Desert in the USA. It is actually a 15-meter-in-diameter bush colony, estimated to have started its growth from a single seed about 12,000 years ago. The shrub was present when historic events like the invention of the wheel or writing took place, when great civilizations like the Egyptians and the Mayas were born.
