The Gaboon Viper has the longest fangs of any snake on earth. Not only do they have the longest fangs, they also produce the most venom. Their fangs are about 50-mm (2-in) long and can inject its poison deeper than any other snake. The Gaboon Viper lives on the rain forest floor in the equatorial belt of Tropical Africa. The unlucky recipient of a single bite was reported in Switzerland. Bitten in the chest, the victim died one and a half hours later from the massive doses of venom injected into his system. This snake can gulp animals as big as Rabbits. The Gaboon Viper is the largest of the vipers and is one of three members of the African Giant vipers group.
